Rice and Miso Soup Are Now Available at The Snack Three& Ginza Newborn

At The Snack Three& Ginza Newborn in Ginza 6-chome, we offer a small selection of food to enjoy with drinks and karaoke.

Two of our most popular dishes are our delicious seasoned zha cai and spicy mala zha cai.

Zha cai is a type of pickled mustard stem with a crunchy texture and savory flavor. It is commonly enjoyed as a side dish or snack and goes especially well with drinks.

Our guests enjoyed it so much that we repeatedly heard the same comment:

“This makes me want rice and miso soup!”

So we listened.

We have now added:

Steamed Rice and Miso Soup

Together with the zha cai, they create a simple but satisfying light meal.

It is a good choice when you are slightly hungry, when you want something small after drinking, or when you would like a late-night meal without eating anything too heavy.

The spicy mala zha cai is especially good with rice. Its combination of spice, saltiness, and savory flavor makes it easy to keep eating.

However, adding rice created another request almost immediately:

“If you have rice, we want curry too!”

We are now considering adding curry to the menu as well.

This is one of the things we enjoy most about running an intimate and welcoming snack bar. Menu ideas often begin through conversations with our guests, and the bar gradually evolves based on their requests.
